How to ask for feedback that helps

Say what stage it’s at: a first rough cut, nearly done, or already out. Notes on a sketch are not the same as notes on a finish.

Name the one thing you’re unsure about. “Does the first ten seconds hold you?” gets a better answer than “thoughts?”

Say what you’re not asking about yet, such as colour, music or the ending, so nobody spends a note there.
